My passion for photography began at a young age. At twelve, my parents gave me my first camera, and that gift marked the start of a lifelong journey. With that camera in hand, I discovered how to capture the world around me and tell my own stories. Since then, my camera has been my constant companion, and I have continuously refined my perspective. I am self-taught and have developed my own style by experimenting and following my curiosity.
Creativity is in my blood
My education at the Graphic School, MRTO (Media Design Drawing Program), provided me with a solid foundation in creativity and design. I now combine these skills with my passion for visual arts and photography to create unique works that tell stories and evoke emotions. Creativity runs in my blood. My grandparents were artists: my grandmother painted stunning icons and watercolors with nature themes, while my grandfather showcased craftsmanship in creating wooden objects like vases, bowls, and candleholders. My father shared this love for art and painting, and together we even attended a workshop at MIKA Art in Haarlem—an experience I will always cherish.
French roots
The history of my family, the Goulmys, also plays a significant role in my story. Our roots lie in Donzenac, a picturesque village in France. In the Netherlands, the Goulmy name is best known for the old cigar factory Goulmy & Baar in Den Bosch. This family heritage, which has left its mark in both France and the Netherlands, inspires me to blend tradition and innovation in my work.
Through my art and photography, I strive to find a balance between heritage and modernity. Every image I create is a tribute to the beauty of the world and the stories that connect us. Welcome to my world, where French flair and Dutch pragmatism come together in an artistic journey
